Responding to a news item on assault of head GB, P. Viyiho allegedly by deputy “kilonser” GPRN/NSCN, Hokato on March 10 as claimed by Nohoto Village Council (NVC), deputy “kilonser” has clarified that the question of threat and assault did not arise as Viyiho had provoked the situation and was encroaching his land.
In this connection, the “kilonser” in a press statement advised NVC or communities not to get involved in the issue without knowing the truth or reality, as the land fell under Diphupar jurisdiction and not under NVC.
The “kilonser” asked NVC and Viyiho not to drag the name of “reputed government GPRN/NSCN” on such “petty issue”.
Reminding he did not want to be involved in such “petty issue” which was not proper or legal, he however added that his land was encroached by P. Viyiho and that it needed proper order demarcation and settlement between the two parties.
The “kilonser” said he was ready to settle the issue through mutual understanding and legal means provided P. Viyiho and party agreed.
The “kilonser” further appealed the people especially GPRN/NSCN and administration to restrict digging of sand gravels at the earliest as it was jeopardizing the areas in close proximity to Dimapur Airport.
