LS MP’s son killed in road mishap

Eldest son of Lok Sabha MP, C. M. Chang, Joseph Chang (28) died in a road accident at around 12.30 a.m. Sunday when the Scorpio(NL-10-6559) which he was driving rammed into the rear of a parked stationary truck(NLH-8786) near DTO office 3rd Mile area. The victim was alone and returning to Dimapur from Chumukedima. Sources said the funeral would be held at 9 a.m. on March 14 at Green Meadow, Burma Camp Dimapur
Traffic Police also said another vehicle reportedly belonging to one official, had also hit the same truck on its rear at around 11 p.m. The officer escape without injury. The truck aden with boulders, had earlier broke down at the spot. The Scorpio could be extricated from underneath the truck with the help of a break-down truck. The driver of the truck was arrested by Traffic Police.
The Naga People’s Front (NPF) central expressed shock over the untimely demise of Joseph Chang and described the demise as “very unfortunate.” All ranks of NPF Central conveyed condolences to C. M. Chang and family members and prayed that God almighty grant them strength and solace to overcome the loss.
The Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ union (NCSU) Dimapur also expressed grief over the sudden demise of Joseph Chang and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
Expressing shock and grief at the untimely demise of Joseph Chang, NPF Dimapur division said the death was a loss not only to the bereaved family but also the entire Naga community, who have lost an aspiring youth.
The party conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
