Former state Chaplain Deo Vihienuo passes away

Former State Chaplain Rev. Deo Vihienuo has passed away Tuesday evening, at around 6.25 p.m. in Kohima. He was 76 years old. A veteran Church leader, Rev. Deo, who was ordained by Angami Baptist Churches Council (ABCC) in 1975, served in the ministry of the Church in various capacities during his lifetime. He had served as ABCC youth promoter (1964-65); field director (1965-68); Tenyidie Bible translator for ABCC in Bible Society of India Bangalore (1968 -71); NMM evangelist-at-large (1972-73); founder and pastor Union Baptist Church Kohima (1973-2001); State Chaplain of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (2003-08); and as pastor Central Baptist Church Kohima till the time of his demise. He is survived by his wife, three sons, three daughters, and seven grandchildren. Meanwhile, the funeral service for Rev. Deo Vihienuo will be held on March 16, 1 p.m. at the family home- ‘Sharuhen’, Sepfuzou Colony, High School Road Kohima.
