FGN 56th Republic Day: Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) informed all “Midan Peyu” under FGN that the 56th Republic day of FGN would be observed in each and every respective region. Further regional authorities have been informed to send their representatives to attend the memorial celebration of “AZ Phizo’s Abode in 1951” at Chakhesang Region on March 23.
Festivity and border interaction: The department of art and culture in collaboration with the NEZCC Dimapur would be organizing a programme of festivity and border interaction (Border Area Programme) at Pangsha village, Tuensang district on March 18. Artistes from Pansgha Village (Nagaland) and Myanmar would present cultural items as well as showcase their handicrafts in the one-day program. The programme will be graced by ADC Noklak, Tuensang.
RASU meeting: Meeting of Ralan Area Students Union (RASU) has been convened on March 17, 10am at the residence of its union cultural secretary Ebebeni Ovung, Bayavu colony Kohima.
KTBWU combined service: Kohima Town Baptist Women Union (KTBWU) combined service would be held on March 18, 3pm at Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou under the theme ‘Grace’ with Sentinaro Jing as speaker.
IGNOU induction meeting: Induction meeting for B. Ed students admitted for January 2011 sessions and assigned to programme study centre-2019P under IGNOU would be held on March 26, 10am at Bosco College of teacher education, Dimapur.
BCTA to celebrate foundation day: Bosco College of teacher education (BCTA) would be celebrating its foundation on March 21, 1:30pm with commissioner and secretary, department of higher and technical education Francis P. Solo as the chief guest.
MARCOFED meeting: The 93rd BoD meeting of MARCOFED Ltd has been convened on April 1, 11am at the office chamber of its chairman at Dimapur.
Approach road construction at Tenyiphe-1: Tenyiphe-1 village council (TVC) has informed public that construction work would commence for village approach road under NREGA as per resolution passed February 19 last. In this regard, the council has requested land owners to cooperate with the proposed work in the interest of the general public.
Sumi Hoho new team: The new team of Sumi Hoho for the tenure 2011-13 was unanimously elected on March10 and 11 during its general annual session at Town Hall, Zunheboto. The new team includes Hoikhe Hesso(kohima), Kitoho S. Rotokha (Zunheboto), Toniho Yepthomi (Aghunato) and Vihoto Chophy as president, vice-president, general secretary and finance secretary respectively. The house endorsed the new team to induct individuals to the vacant posts at the earliest. The vacant posts are 2 VP including WSH quota, 3 joint secretaries and one assistant finance secretary.
AR donates water storage tank: 16 Assam Rifles donated three newly constructed water tanks to Mezoma, Dzuleke and Khonoma villages. The villages in the vicinity of Kohima have been facing problems due to insufficient supply of water, and that it would ease storage and distribution of water in the villages, stated a defence release.
Water scheme at Molvom village: 20 Assam Rifles under aegis of 5 Sect under IGAR (N) inaugurated a water supply scheme near the primary school at Molvom village. Allet, GB, the pastor of the village, expressed gratitude on behalf of all the villagers to the Commandant and Assam Rifles for taking on this project for the village which was a long pending requirement, stated a defence release.
Assam Rifles construct waiting shed: 20 Assam Rifles under aegis of 5 Sect under IGAR (N) inaugurated a waiting shed near the community health centre on NH-29, Medziphima village. Dr. Elizabeth, chief medical officer, CHC, Medziphima, expressed gratitude on behalf of all doctors, nurses and staff to the Commandant and Assam Rifles for taking on this project for the health centre which was a long pending requirement and that it would be of great use while managing a large number of emergency patients being located on NH-29.
NPF 59th AC welcomes: NPF 59th A/C Seyochung-Sitimi, Kiphire has welcomed Tokhui Jinger, 2nd GB of Changchor village and Congress supporter along with other supporters comprising of Thripongse Sangtam, Changchor village, president polling booth 4 of Kiphire town, Irothe Sangtam of Samphure village, Kisan Cell BJP 59th A/C and Rhahkimong Sangtam, chairman of Independent Party (Chothrongba). The 59th A/C NPF working president, Tsathrise Sangtam stated the members joined the NPF to support MLA and chairman NSMDC Nagaland, C. Kipili Sangtam.
ACCC 3 Dimapur-III new team: The ACCC 3 Dimapur-III A/C elected its office bearers unopposed to different elective posts. The new team is being headed by Wati Waling as the president; Hutovi V. Achumi, Maken Longchar, Nichu Rengma as vice presidents, Kahoto Yeputhomi as treasurer, Aliba, Haichule Rengma and L. Momin as general secretaries. Mithen Momin, Tisenle Kath, Tsukjemwati as secretaries and eight other executive members to DDCC.
