Two persons were injured when police fired at a mob trying to storm Dokmoka Police station yesterday at around 8:30pm.
According sources, hundreds of people from that locality cordoned the police station demanding release of there person Ajit Tiumng (40), Ramsing Terang (20) and Anil Terang (20), alleging the trio were innocent, and had been picked up for opposing the Congress in that area.
Trouble broke out resulting in violence when police resorted to firing to control the stone pelting mob. To escape stampede, one Bidya Teron and a lady Ruthini Teronpi received bullet injury.
They were shifted to Dengaon Primary Health Centre.
Meanwhile, ASDC has condemned the incident and stated it would report the matter to the election observer.
