The 6th “Passion for Excellence”, a three day capacity building programme for the youth was inaugurated on March 17 at Peace Channel Hall Dimapur.
Som Kamei IPS, Director of NEZCC, the chief guest of the programme exhorted the youth to choose their career while still young, adding it was one’s choice to choose a career, however under the guidance of parents and teachers.
Kamei said youth can bring positive changes and difference in the family and the society by being honest with oneself and with the career chosen and that goals could be achieved through hard work.
Rev. Fr. C.P. Anto, stressed on the objectives, and importance of the programme.
At the session on goal setting, Fr. Anto said setting a goal was important and a force that drives one to do and become what they want.
Leonard Aier, principal, City Law College enlightened the participants on different aspects of careers.
The program three-day programme would deliberate various topics leadership, interview skills, public speaking, careers in armed forces etc., with different resource persons.
Around 32 youth are participating in the programme.
