The Chakhesang Mother Association (CMA), Chokri Area Mothers Association (CAMA) and Pfutsero Town Mothers Association (PTMA) has appreciated the support and co-operation of the public and particularly the police for their generous efforts in putting up maximum pressure on the rapist Tsahuyo Thira who finally surrendered to the police recently.
A joint statement made by Chakhesang Mother Association, Chokri Area Mothers Association and Pfutsero Town Mothers Association described the turn of event as a relief and strongly appealed the police and the district administration not to concede to any kind of bail to the rapist.
Stating that Tsahuyo Thira was a habitual offender and cases of rape still pending against him with the police as per record, they said Thira raped one Nepali lady in the year 1996 on May 8 and booked in connection with Pfutsero PS, and on January 3 raped a minor girl at Kikruma village and a case registered at Pfutsero PS.
Observing the sequence of events, the organizations felt Thira must be awarded with the “most severe” punishment and that under no circumstances he should be granted bail by any individual or party.
“The mothers association shall spare no efforts until the culprit is given a befitting punishment as per the law of the land”, added the statement.
