LFHSS annual sports meet: The Little Flower Higher Secondary School (LFHSS) Kohima annual sports meet closing function will take place on March 23 with Col. Naveen Teotai, CO 16th AR as the chief guest.
Yano Clan meeting: The Yano Clan has convened a meeting on April 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Kigwema Village. All Yano clans have been requested to attend the meeting.
Socio-eco development seminar: Chokri Area Public Organisation (CAPO) would be organizing one-day seminar on socio economic development on April 2 at Chetheba town hall. Key note address will be delivered by Chotisüh Sazo parliament secretary, social welfare and women development Nagaland. The resource persons are Norman Putsüre, secretary urban development and team leader, Nagaland Bamboo Mission and Vengota Nakro, project operations unit member & deputy director, soil & water conservation Nagaland.
Submission of VRS identity card: All Nagaland PWD (R&B) & (H) Workcharge Employees Association Kohima informed to all VRS left out under NPWD (R&B) & (H) verified by (STF) under the state vigilance commission are requested to submit their identity card to the W/C head office Kohima on or before April 15 during office hours.
KSSU meeting: Kohima Sumi Students’ Union (KSSU) a meeting has been convened on March 26 at 1pm at the union banker’s residence, Para Medical Kohima.
CSU Aoleang festival: Chenloisho Students’ Union (CSU) informed that Aoleang festival cum 21st session of games and sports meet would be held from April 4-6. All students’ and members have been requested to reach the village on or before April 1.
FGN, Sumi region discharge two: The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has discharged Kughahoto Rochill S/o Khehoi Rochill of 6th mile Sovima village and Y. Shikato Sumi S/o Yemithi Sumi of Ahoto village under Dimapur district, both in the rank of ‘Leacy’. The FGN said the duo has been discharged from national service with immediate effect for breach of ‘Azha’ in executing the works without the concern of the higher ups and selfish motive. Their termination order shall come into effect from March 21, added FGN while reminding the public not to entertain them in future.
NCRC Chesezu pre-golden jubilee: Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) Chesezu in commemoration with the year of jubilee would celebrate its pre-golden jubilee celebration under the theme, “Reconciliation with Christ” at its church premises on March 27. Executive secretary, CC CRC Rev. Vevozo Khamo, would declare the year of jubilee. All affiliated Churches under Chakhesang Council Christian revival Church as well as believers have been requested to come and be blessed.
Deputy commissioner, Zunheboto informs: Deputy commissioner, Zunheboto, T. Kiheto Sema has informed all intending candidates for army recruitment rally to be held from March 24 to 30 at Zunheboto to bring their own bedding, clothing. CYF general conference: The 7th conference of Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) would be held on April 5 and 6 under the theme ‘Quest for the best’ at Chizami Town. Chotisuh Sazo, parliamentary secretary social welfare and women development Nagaland would be the chief guest. Kewezu G Kenye, secretary general Naga Peoples Front would also address the gathering. Meanwhile, a new team of office bearers will be elected and blessed by Rev. Vezopa Tetseo, executive secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Churches Council. All units, public leaders’ well wishers have been informed to attend the conference.
UBCF Meluri 25th anniversary: United Baptist Church Fellowship (UBCF), Meluri would be celebrating 25th anniversary of its existence on April 10, 9am at Baptist Chruch, Meluri village with Rümatho Nyusou, academic dean, SBS Sechü as speaker. All former chairmen, office bearers of UBCF Meluri have been requested to attend the celebration.
CGOA grateful: Chakhesang Gazetted Officers Association (CGOA) has thanked all participants and members for their presence and participation in the recent 17th general session of the association held on March 12 at Zonal Council hall, Kohima. The association appreciated all for their contributions in making the programme a grand success. Meanwhile, CGOA has requested all to be patient on the backward reservation issue as it was subjudiced in the Gauhati High Court. “While raising our opinions and views we should also bear in mind that only an expert body can formulate and come up with the proper datas and figures”, CGOA added while appealing to all be patient and wait for the government to bring out the best policy for the interest of everyone. Meanwhile, CGOA have elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011 and 2012 with Kewetso Mero as the president and Vesato Dozo as the general secretary. Besides the eight members, the association also elected four executive members Er. Dikhrolo, Mero, S. K Kenye, Vengota Nakro and Vechisalu Nukhu.
