Plea to cancel ‘jamabandi’ at Razhuphe village

Alleging some outsiders have trespassed into industrial village Razhuphe with ‘jamabandi’ and threatening the villagers, chairman and head village chief, industrial village Razhuphe Dimapur T.L Angami in a letter to EAC (Rev) office of DC stated the village land was yet to be acquired by the government and that according to the law of the land, no one can occupy the village land with government allotment order or ‘jamabandi’ within Naga villages.
Stating the villagers had been residing for more than 40 years and paying house tax to the government, the chairman appealed the EAC (Revenue) to cancel ‘jamabandi’ issued within the village land to allow the villagers to live in peace.
