Kuki Inpi nagaland meeting
Dimapur: Annual meeting of Kuki Inpi Nagaland has been convened at Athibung town on March 4, 10am. All village chiefs, village council members, chairman & staff of Kuki welfare committee of the towns, and elders of Kuki community of Nagaland have been requested to attend the meeting. Further, Inpi officials have been informed to reach Athibung town on March 3.
Dr. Imtimeren is H&FW principal director
KOHIMA: Dr. R. Imtimeren Jamir has taken over as principal director of the department of Health & Family welfare, Nagaland. A farewell programme for Dr. T.L. Nakhro outgoing principal director of health & family welfare along with Dr. Kiyekhu Assumi, additional director and Dr. T, Shuya, additional director was held at the directorate conference hall on February 28 last who retired from service on attaining superannuation on March 1.
Villages resolve to preserve eco system
DIMAPUR: In a bid to protect and preserve flora and fauna within its jurisdiction, Hekheshe and Zhuikhu villages under Medziphema block, have banned burning of jungles, hunting of any kinds of wild birds and animals, use of chemical powder, generator etc., under its jurisdiction. The two villages unanimously adopted the resolutions during a joint council meeting held on February 19 at Anekine stream. A joint press statement by the head GBs from the two villages warned those violating the resolution would be penalized with a fine of Rs.10000.
Lok Adalat
Dimapur: Dimapur: Nagaland State Legal Services Authority would be conducting a Lok Adalat, for anyone who is willing to settle cases amicable on the spot on March 4 at 10am at District and Sessions Judge Court Kohima near DC Office Kohima. Cases like land disputes, money suits, family disputes, motor vehicle accidents cases etc., would also be taken up on the day.
Pension adalat
DIMAPUR: Pension adalat for redressal of postal pension grievances would be conducted on March 9, 10am in the chamber of the director postal services Kohima. All complaints, grievances, suggestions, if any can be sent to the director of postal services K. Kevishüsa on or before March 7.
Selection of live stock beneficiaries in Phek: Selection committee would be selecting beneficiaries under live stock and poultry production units 2010-2011 on March 8, 10am at DVO office, Phek. In this connection, veterinary and AH department, Phek has informed those who have submitted form with terms and conditions to appear before the selection committee.
IRCS Wokha meeting: Indian Red cross society (IRCS) Wokha branch has convened a meeting of children with special needs on March 18, 10am at LTC Hall, Wokha town. All parents and sponsors of children with special needs have been informed to attend the meeting.
IMFL seized : Excise duty party at Kohima check gate arrested two persons identified as Rosa Mao, daughter of Loshu Mao of Senapati district and Vizovelie daughter of Medoliu for illegal possession of IMFL (750 ml)- 48 bottles, Beer (650 ml)- 324 bottles and Canned Beer (500ml)- 144 nos. In a release, superintendent of excise informed the duty party was headed by Akum A.I.E with Videho H/C and constables Mangyang, Khruvotso, Vitsathrong, Nganvang, Kiyevi, Lhoukoulie and Phoukhrietuo.
SHN general annual session: Sumi Hoho Nagaland (SHN) has convened a general annual session for the tenure 2008-10 on March 11, 10am at town hall, Zunheboto. All executive members have been asked to reach station by March 10 to attend the last executive meeting at 12 noon. The nomination committee members as per February 10 Akuvuto resolutions have been asked to sit on March 10, 2pm and elect a new team of office bearers for the session 2010-13. All Sumi legislators, MP, ex-parliamentarians, Sumi officers, public leaders, frontal organizations and GBs have been requested to attend the session.
GYCD meeting: Gorkha Youth Club Dimapur (GYCD) has convened a meeting on March 4, 6pm at Head Hq Thahekhu. All office bearers and ex-officio of GYCD have been requested to attend the meeting.
Mission Mobilization Volunteers (MMV) training: Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK), Aizuto mission department would be organizing a Mission Mobilization Volunteers (MMV) training workshop from March 5 and 6 at Christian centre, Aizuto for mission vision of 125 years jubilee in 2028. All SBAK Churches have been requested to send three members with pastor to attend the training.
DIC general manager inform entrepreneurs: General manager I/C District Industries Centre, Dimapur, E Jon Ezung has informed all selected entrepreneurs of Dimapur district who have not undergone two weeks entrepreneur development programme (EDP) training to report to DIC office along with 2 recent passport size photographs. DIC further informed all who have attended the EDP training to report to DIC office along with 3 xerox copies of training certificate.
DRFCB new office bearers: Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) held its general meeting on February 5 at its office, Marketing complex, Purana bazaar, East Dimapur. During the meet, the board elected new office bearers for the tenure 2011-2016 with Hokheto Kiba as chairman, Edento Kiba as vice-chairman, Mukibur Rahman as secretary along with twelve office bearers, executive members and advisors.
Skill development training: District youth coordinator, NYKS, K Kumar Singh, has informed all selected candidates of Wokha Kendra that skill development training programme classes sponsored by Nehru Kendra Wokha has started at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Wokha. All selected candidates have been requested to attend classes from 10am for a three months course.
NPF Seyochung-Simiti felicitation prog: NPF 59th Seyochung –Simiti would be organizing felicitation programme on March 16, 9am at public ground. C. Kipili Sangtam MLA and chairman NSMDC would be the chief guest and Apong Pongener working president NPF as guest of honour.
Assessment camp for CWSN: District Mission Authority (DMA) SSA Dimapur would be conducting medical assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) for four blocks in the age group of 6 to 14 yrs. District Education Officer, Dimapur, Asono Ndang has informed those with locomotor, mild and moderate cerebral palsy, mild and moderate hearing impaired and low vision to attend the camp. DEO stated that the purpose of the camp is to identify both school going and out of school children, who need aids and appliances for their condition. The training would be conducted block wise: Niuland on March 4 at EBRC Niuland (10:30 am); Medziphema on March 5 at EBRC Medziphema (10:30 am); Kushiabill on March 11 at EBRC Kushiabill (10 am) and Dimapur Urban on March 25 at UBRC Kuda (10 am).
