Renewal of DMC registration certificate/licence: Chief executive officer, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed owners of hand cart, cycle, rickshaw, bicycle, trolley carts and all rickshaw driving licence holders to renew DMC registration certificate, licence for the year 2011 from March 15. Last date of renewal would be April 15, added CEO.
Funeral service : Funeral service of Jeshili, wife of Howoto Holo retired head DB, ADC Niuland will be held on March 5, 10 am at Hovishe village. Jeshili passed away on March 4 at Hovishe village.
Wokha DPDB meet deferred: The monthly meeting of DPDB of Wokha district for the month of March scheduled on March 9 has been postponed to March 11, 11am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner, Wokha. There will also be an overall annual review of resolution, proposal discussed from January to February by the board. All departments concerned have been requested to present the status report, achievements, failures on all issues in the meeting by heads of departments.
YSUD general session: Yimchunger Students’ Union Dimapur (YSUD) would be holding its general session on March 12, 10am at the residence of its union treasurer. All students from Class-8 and above including Hindi/Theological students have been requested to attend the session.
Dimapur DPDB meeting: Dimapur District Planning Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of March would be held on March 8, 11am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner, Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Renewal of ID card ‘D’ for pensioners: Nagaland Pensioners’ Association, Kohima has informed all pensioners/family pensioners that renewal of ID card ‘D’ for withdrawal of pension by the pensioners/family pensioners is running behind schedule. Renewal of card started in January from presidents, district unit pensioner’s association office, and in this regard, all existing pensioners/family pensioners have been requested to get their ID card ‘D’ renewed to avoid inconvenience. All new pensioners/family pensioners have been reminded to register their name at their respective districts from association office and obtain ID card.
Cutting and tailoring training: Manager, Sub-DIC, Pughoboto, A Temjen Jamir has informed cutting and tailoring candidates that last date of submission of application forms is March 25. Interview would be on March 30, 10am at office chamber of manager, sub-DIC Pughoboto where the training period would commence from April 1. Candidates have been requested to bring original educational/testimonial certificates at the time of interview. Further the manager informed that selected candidates would be awarded a monthly stipend as admissible. Programme would be purely for self-employment and no government job would be guaranteed on completion of the training, added manager.
Trade license for poultry chicks dealers: Veterinary Public Health Cell (VPHC), Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed poultry chicks dealers to obtain trade license from DMC within fifteen days. Further all poultry chicks meant for backyard rearing has been asked to be properly vaccinated and certified by the qualified veterinary doctor. Failing to comply with this circular, action would be initiated by imposing penalty as per Nagaland Municipal Act 2001, added VPHC.
Sikh Gurudwara management board meeting: A meeting of the Nagaland Sikh Gurudwara management board will be held at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Dimapur on March 6 from 1pm. General secretary of the board S Harjinder P S Ahluwalia has informed executive heads of four major Sikh shrines to attend the meeting.
Kandi Ni Union Dimapur meeting: An emergency meeting Kandi Ni Union Dimapur has been convened on March 6 from 1pm at the residence of Hipenlo Kath, Purana bazaar. All office bearers, advisors, executive members and collectors have been informed to attend without fail.
Dates revised for application reception for food processing EDPs: North Eastern Industrial Consultants Ltd has extended the last date for receiving applications for food processing EDPs for Dimapur, Diphupar, Chumukedima, Medziphema and Kohima to March 12. Dates for the interview will be notified later, added the release.
Razeba students union assembly: The union assembly cum election of Razeba Students Union (RSU) will be held on March 5 at conclave conference hall, LCS building, Midland Kohima from 12 pm. All senior members have been requested to attend the assembly without fail.
Banned drugs seized: Narcotic enforcement cell of the excise department seized 3750 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon from West Yard colony and arrested two persons.
Rio to grace Tenyimi elders’ meet: State chief minister Neiphiu Rio will be gracing the Tenyimi elder’s meet on March 5 at community hall Kuda village ‘A’ Khel, 10am. The programme, being organized by the Tenyimi Women’s Union Dimapur, would also be graced by minister for health and family welfare Küzholüzo Neinu, minister for higher education and urban development Shürhozelie, minister for planning and veterinary and animal husbandry T.R. Zeliang and MLA K.V. Pusa.
WSH, WSKH joint meeting: A joint meeting of Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) and Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) executive members and its advisor has been convened on March 7, 10am at the office of Western Sumi Hoho, Chekiye village.
Issue of rural library books: Registered rural libraries under Wokha district have been informed to collect their share of books for 2009-10 during office hour at district cultural office Wokha with library office seal (round) and library secretary seal. The issue of books would be held from March 7 to April 30.
Workshop on conservation of library materials: The department of art and culture, Nagaland in collaboration with National Library Kolkata would be organizing a week long workshop on conservation of library materials and book binding training from March 7-11 at Centre for Community Transformation (CCT), Walford Road, Bank Colony, Dimapur. All district cultural officers have been requested to send participants from their respective district excluding last year’s participants. Expert team from National Library, Kolkata would be imparting the training. The inaugural function would be graced by Som Kamei, Director, NEZCC, Dimapur as chief guest at 10am.
PACSU general conference: 7th general conference of the Phokhungri Area College Student’s Union (PACSU) would be held from April 6-8 at New Thewati Village under the theme “Rediscovering Beyond”. T. Kamsang, President NPF 20th A/C Meluri would be the chief guest. Benjamin teacher, GMS, Phokungri and Yutsolen Yanphar Teacher, GPS Washelo would be the conference speakers.
LIYAL meeting: Laza Iyinu Youth Association Lazami (LIYAL) has convened a meeting on March 20, 10am at the residence of KA Jacob Achumi, Naga Bazaar Kohima.
Akuluto coordination meeting: Akuluto GBs and Akuluto town council has called for an coordination meeting of head of departments under Akuluto town on March 11 at 10am at the residence of Hotovi Chishi. MLA Kheto Kinnimi and former minister Kakheto Kinnimi have been requested to attend the meeting.
Orientation programme for teachers: Three days orientation programme on quality related issued for the principals, head masters and teachers of private school would be conducted from March 14 at SCERT in collaboration with NCERT-New Delhi. All headmasters and teachers have been formed to attend the training programme.
VHO annual meeting: Vanchung Hungchantaren Okha (VHO) Wokha town annual meeting would be held on March 6 at 2.30 pm at the residence of Zupenthung Humtsoe at Tsumang colony, Wokha. VHO informed that those who fail to attend that their membership would be omitted.
