The village council members of Lirmen, Tsuremmen and Akumen has expressed gratitude to office bearers, executive members of Ao Senden for the successful conduct of Assam-Ao Naga peace and confidence building meet held on February 25 at Tsuremmen village. Following the meeting, federal assembly of apex body organizations of the Ao Naga was held.
Further, the council expressed gratitude to Er Saku Aier, parliamentary secretary, housing, labour & employment, S I Jamir MLA & president, NPCC, Sentichuba MLA, Apok Jamir, MLA, deputy commissioner Mokokchung, SP Mokokchung, government officials, leaders of various organizations from Nagaland, director, institute of Thai Ahom Studies and Research, BP Bora and Imsu Jamir, president and VP of Assam-Nagaland Border Peace Committee, Thai Ahom Royal Society, Tiru Hills Cultural Troupe, Thai Ahom Students’ Union and police officials from Mariani and Nakachari for making the programme a success and for their participation in the meet. The council also lauded the Ao Senden for the commitment made at the discussion for fulfiling the long felt developmental works such as construction of guest house at Tsuremmen village, connectivity road from Lirmen to Akumen via Tsuremmen etc.
The proposed name of guest house and road would be named in commemoration of Ao Senden Salang, added chairman.
