Mokokchung DPDB meeting held

The monthly meeting of Mokokchung district planning and development board (DPDB) was held on March 7 at DC’s conference hall, Mokokchung under the chairmanship of chairman NIDC & Nagaland Hotels Ltd. and also chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the house discussed on the problem faced in construction of new DC’s office building in Mokokchung, to which the chairman said infrastructure was ready but unavailability of suitable land was the reason for the delay.
He assured that once a meeting was held with all the land owners, a positive impact could be found to solve the problem.
The house also decided to support and implement the order of preserving wildlife in the district as per the memorandum submitted by additional chief secretary & development commissioner on preservation of wildlife.
In the meeting, registration of rubber grower’s society, Kangtsung Yimsen village and Nubor Yinsen (people Anvil) Society, Mongsenyimti were recommended to the government.
In the meeting, agendas for construction of community hall at Phangsang Town and support towards Tenyimia Baptist Church Mokokchung golden jubilee celebration were forwarded to LADP.
DC and vice-chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi informed the house about the commissioner’s proposed visit to Mokokchung and also directed HoDs in the district to be prepared for meetings as well as visiting sub-divisions, especially the border areas.
She also lamented on poor attendance of members in the DPDB meeting saying that such irresponsibility would be viewed severely.
