Interest free loan scholarship 2011

Sakal India Foundation, Pune (Maharastra) on the occasion of its golden jubilee would be offering about fifty interest free loan scholarships each worth `40,000 all over India.
In this connection, the foundation has invited application for the scholarship, repayable in two years from Indian students proposing to prosecute post-graduate studies aboard or research studies leading to Ph.D in India.
The applicant must have secured confirmed admission for post-graduate degree in any foreign university for academic study of not less than one year’s duration for academic year 2011-12 or the applicant must have valid registration for research leading to Ph.D in a statutory university/national institute/institution of equivalent standing in India, two years previous to the date of application for interest free loan scholarship.
In addition one scholarship of `10,000 (non refundable) would be awarded to the deserving student prosecuting post-graduate studies in journalism satisfying the above pre-conditions in India/abroad.
Candidates satisfying the above pre-conditions have been advised to write along with a xerox copy letter of confirmed admission from the concerned university/institute for prescribed application form and send a self addressed envelop admeasuring 11cmx 24cm with `10 postage stamp affixed before May 31 to Executive Secretary, Sakal India Foundation, Sakal office building, 595, Budhwar Peth, Pune-411002 (Maharashtra). Dully filled application forms from eligible students should reach the office address before June 15.
Further, students eligible for the interest free loan scholarships can also collect the prescribed application forms personally from the mentioned office between 10:30am to 12:00 noon except on Sundays and government holidays.
