State Plan size likely to be finalized soon

KOHIMA, APR 8 (NPN): The plan discussion to fix the state size for Nagaland is likely to take place during the later part of April. Chief minister Neiphiu Rio during his address at the release of provisional census 2011 hinted that he along with deputy chairman state planning board Neiba Kronu and other government officials were likely to go to Delhi for plan discussion with the Planning Commission during the later part of this month. Later, talking to media persons, chief secretary Lalthara confirmed that the plan discussion with the planning commission at the bureaucrat level was scheduled for April 27 next. He said that the plan discussion and finalization with the finance minister and deputy chairman state planning board and the planning commission may soon follow.It may be mentioned that the NPF-led DAN government had gone ahead with the presentation and passed full budget last month without finalizing the state plan size but by assuming a ten per cent hike from the last plan size.
