DIMAPUR: NNC central finance committee has appealed to both Kiumukam Yimchungru and Kumcho Yimchungru to give financial report to NNC authority and central finance committee about NNC general meeting held at Khutur village (Yimchungru Region) last year in the month of August.
NNC central finance committee members Kevi Angami and W. Lotha in a press release alleged that the meeting at Khutur could not be held as scheduled since Kiumukam and Kumcho handled the expenses.
According to NNC central finance committee members, the committee was formed out of political necessity for peace and unity in the “homeland” and abroad in the month of October 2007. The press note also stated that the two member (Kiumukam Yimchungru and Kumcho Yimchungru) checked the files and registers in the council headquaters of NNC in the month of March 2008 and was well aware that financial dealing started from 2007 October, and not 2003 as alleged by them.
The NNC therefore asked them not to mislead the people and implicate the NNC general secretary without any basis in this matter and said they were accountable to clarify NNC organization and central finance committee about the expense incurred.
