DIMAPUR, APR 10 : Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA) has expressed strong resentment over the behavior of the miscreants who attempted robbery and threatened the DDO at the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare on April 8 at Kohima. CANSSEA president Dr. K. David Sema and general secretary Vekho Vero in a joint statement said that the Association supported the H&FW department without any restraint, as the attempt on the officers who were directly in concern with the health of the people was a threat to their very own lives. “If your concern is for the best for the people of Nagaland then do the best as you can, let the people live in peace, let the people serve each other in harmony,” CANSSEA said expressing resentment at the miscreants who had reportedly claimed themselves to be national workers from a certain group. CANSSEA said that the decision of the department of H&FW to close the office as a token closure was a “right decision.” The association said it would go to any extent to support its constituent association in the right perspectives. CANSSEA thanked the Home Guards personnel who had fearlessly taken timely action and safe-guarded the employees on that day. The Rhiepfu Khel Meriema also strongly condemned the incident where one of its officers holding the post of DDO was harassed by two miscreants with arms inside his office. The Rhiepfu Khel requested all the national workers and the concerned authority to arrest those culprits and award suitable punishment at the earliest.
