MVC, APEN flay harassment

DIMAPUR: Meriema village council (MVC) has condemned the harassment meted out at gun point to one of its member, by two armed miscreants inside his official chamber at directorate of health and family welfare.
Condemning the incident, MVC chairman Neikrulie Chielie stated that such act of violence and intimidation has no place in a civilized society, and termed as an attack not only on the establishment but also an indirect attack on village council and civil society in general. MVC further cautioned that it would not remain a mute spectator against such act perpetrated on one of its members.
The association of power engineers Nagaland (APEN) also condemned the recent threat by armed persons at the directorate of medical and health services. APEN president Er. Khose Sale and general secretary Er. Moa Aier in a press release stated that such action have a negative impact upon the morale and functioning of the officers and staff in charge. APEN extended support and solidarity with the department in demanding the identification and arrest of anti-social elements for the larger interest of the society.
