All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) Zunheboto has highlighted that government primary school under DIS Zunheboto have been facing shortage of books for classes I to IV. ANSTA stated that without text book, schools under DIS Zunheboto would not be able to conduct the first quarterly end term by second and third week of April.
Stating that children from other districts under their respective DIS have already received free text books, ANSTA general secretary Yesuho, added that despite DIS Zunheboto having intimated on shortfall to the higher authority, no positive action has been taken till date. ANSTA Zunheboto also appealed the authority to declare results of ad-hoc teachers who had appeared for suitability test.
BTSU calling notice to teacher of GHSS, Bhandari town
Dimapur: Bhandari town students union (BTSU) has issued notification to one of the teachers of Government Higher Secondary School, Bhandari Prasanta Kumar Dutta to report to his place of posting within seven days. According to the union assistant general secretary, Santsuo Ezung, the teacher who was appointed as per government order of school education Kohima on March 15 was yet to report for duty, due to which students are facing difficulties. The union stated that action would be taken against the teacher as per its resolution on failure to adhere to the notification.
