The association in a condemnation note issued by Dr. J. Imtiwabang president and Dr. Neisatuo Mero hon. secretary said doctors are committed to provide health care deliveries to the people and such ‘extreme’ harassment by anti-social elements to doctors was painful.
It further appealed the right thinking citizens to condemn such acts and not to allow such anti-social elements to take place in the society. IDA (NSB) also urged the government to book the culprits and bring them to justice at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the association has declared to extend its fullest support and stand with the decision taken by the officers and staff of the department of health & family welfare for any form of future course of action on the issue.
NIPReSA: Nagaland Information & Public Relations Services Association (NIPReSA) has strongly condemned the attempted extortion and threatening of the DDO at the directorate of health and family welfare on April 8 at Kohima.
The association while expressing resentment at the miscreants claiming to be national workers, stated that such threats and harassments were deterrent to peaceful coexistence and that it retards the delivery of public services and development.
The association has appealed all right thinking people to concertedly stand up against such uncivilized and unlawful behaviours in the interest of the society at large.
While requesting the concerned authority to arrest the culprits at the earliest, the association expressed solidarity with the H&FW department and further said it will be extending support to the department in all their future course of action.
