Wokha villagers get GHS

The upgraded government high school Wokha village was formally inaugurated by state agriculture minister Dr. Chumben Murry as chief guest and L. Meyase joint director school education as special guest on March 31.
Addressing the inaugural function, the chief guest exhorted the gathering to be conscious of communitisation programmes initiated by the government and also appealed the public to regard the school as their own, at the same time encouraged GBs and village council to provide financial assistance for school education in the village.
Also speaking on the occasion, Meyase urged the teaching community to be more sincere in their profession. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha Rovilatou Mor (NCS), R.F Lotha additional controller of drugs Nagaland and Murry retired DEO also congratulated and exhorted the public.
The DC also urged the VEC to see that communitized programmes were being implemented effectively in the school.
Earlier the VEC chairman gave the welcome address, Ekhow Kikon retired head master gave a brief history of the school and Wopenthung Tungoe SIS Wokha pronounced the valedictory speech followed by benediction from Rev. N.T. Murry.
The function was attended by DC Wokha, SDO (Civil) Wokha Sadar and several head of departments in the district along with council members, GBs, parents, staff of GPS A and B and GMS with their students and public of Wokha village.
VEC Wokha has expressed gratitude to school education department, state mission authority and Dr. Chumben Murry for fulfilling the long cherished dreams of the local community and also to all organizations in the village for their physical and financial support towards.
Meanwhile, the Wokha Village Youth Organization (WVYO) also lauded the minister for school education, directorate of school education, office of DEO and DIS Wokha for upgrading Government High School Wokha village to GHS on March 31.
WVYO expressed gratitude to minister for agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry and joint director school education L. Meyase for gracing the occasion as chief guest and special guest respectively.
WVYO also thanked VEC, DC Wokha, SP Wokha and various heads of the departments for attending the programme.
