Parliamentary secretary for tourism, art & culture and law & justice Yitachu speaking at the Phek monthly meeting of district planning & development board (DPDB) said departments needed to be more careful and utilize time properly while providing accurate information since departments are bound by RTI Act.
The DPDB meeting was held on April 13 at the conference hall, Phek. He appealed the members present, to maintain proper records and give correct information to the people. He opined that equal responsibility should be shouldered by all sections of the people while developmental activities are taking place and called on the people to change their mindset in order to improve their life style. Deo Nukhu, MLA and adviser science and technology, art and culture and new and renewable energy who is the chairman of Phek DPDB chaired the proceedings.
The board approved proposal to recommend Nagaland Theological College and Seminary (NTCS) to government for recognition. The application for financial assistance for construction of NTCS boys hostel at Chozuba was also discussed and decided to consider it during 2011-12 under common pool from LADP. The schemes/projects of Border Area Development Programme (BADP) for Meluri Block was discussed and approved.
