IVR meeting cum picnic: The village council of Industrial Village Razhiiphe (IVR) has convened a meeting cum picnic on April 16, 11am at T. L. Angami Park, New Chumukedima. All VCMs, VDB members, vigilance committee, mother unit, advisory board have been requested to attend the meeting.
JSU general meeting: Jalukie Students’ Union (JSU) has convened a general meeting on April 21, 10am the at union’s office at Jalukie town. All student members have been requested to attend the meeting.
KLLRU general meeting: Kohima Lotha Lower Range Union (KLLRU) has convened an annual general meeting on April 21, 2:30pm at IRCS conference hall, Kohima. All members and general public of Lotha lower range residing in and around Kohima have been requested to attend the meeting.
AVUD general meeting deferred: Aghunato Village Union Dimapur (AVUD) meeting scheduled for April 16 has been postponed to April 23, 2:30pm at the residence of L. N. Akato Sema, banker, registrar Guwahati high court Kohima bench, Kushiabil Dimapur. All office bearers, executive members and members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Odyuos Ekhung finance committee meeting: Odyuos Ekhung finance committee has convened a meeting on April 26, 10am at Hotel Japfu Kohima. All finance committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Youth discipleship camp: Chakhesang Baptist church Dimapur would be organizing a youth discipleship camp from April 15-17 at the Church premises under the theme ‘Witnessing’. Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho (academic dean, OTS), Rev Dr. Coppe Mero (director, resource center) and Siiliiveyi Rhakho (director, harvest ministry) would be the resource persons. All youth members have been requested to attend the camp.
Selected entrepreneurs EDP training: Functional manager, DIC Wokha has informed that EDP training for selected entrepreneurs under Wokha district would be conducted from April 18 at Urban Hut Dimapur near Old Dhansiri Bridge. All selected entrepreneurs have been requested to attend the training.
Cable water owners and consumers informed: Panchayat Lower Chandmari Colony (PLCC) has informed all cable water owners and consumers in the colony to arrange their own pipelines at the earliest to avoid unwanted problems.
2nd Music Video Awards of Nagaland 2010: A video album featuring winners and nominees of the 2nd Music Video Awards of Nagaland 2010 would be released on April 15, 2pm at Note Grid School of Music, near DC Court, Dimapur. The artists to be featured in this album are M. Subongla Jamir, Bendang Imchen, Kikimiye Sutsa (Voice of love), Moa L. Jamir, East Rangers and Imlinochet a.k.a Inkj Dejavu. Native Trax Society has requested all music lovers to get a copy of the album in order to appreciate the abundant talents of Naga singers in the state.
PEWT meet: Pangti Ekhung Wokha Town (PEWT) meeting has been convened on April 17, 1:30pm at the residence of Ekhung treasurer at Likya colony.
TSU meeting: Thetsumi Students Union (TSU) has convened its 1st consultative meeting with ex-president, ex-executives, senior leaders and all member on April 23, 10am VDB multi purpose building Thetsumi village.
TUK: Tsaphimi Union Kohima and Tsaphimi Union Dimapur have convened a joint meeting on April 16, 9am at Akato Assumi’s residence Chekiye village, Dimapur.
ENWO general conference: The 2nd general conference of the Eastern Nagaland Women Organization (ENWO) will be held from April 18-20 at Tuensang. The programme will be hosted by Changsao Thangjem Setshang Tuensang. Chotisuh Sazo, parliamentary secretary, social welfare and women development would be the chief guest on April 19 while guest of honour are S.P. Ellen Konyak, member Nagaland State Women Commission, CM Chang and Nyatheang Pangtheang. ENWO has informed all tribal leaders, executives, officials and advisors of ENWO to attend the executive meeting on April 18 at 5pm and to reach the venue by April 16.
ANGDA sessional conference: The 4th sessional conference of All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association would be held on April 30. Dr. K. David Sema, president CANSSEA (Nagaland State) will be the chief guest. The association has asked all district and sub-division units, directorate unit, and secretariat unit, NST unit to furnish the names of delegates with department/unit along with mobile numbers and submit it to ANGDA (CC) central executives on or before April 20. Further, members who have not submitted their membership fee for 2011 have been asked to do so.
Thüvopisümi Christian declaration programme: Thüvopisümi Christian declaration programme would be held on April 16 and 17 at Baptist Church Thüvopisü. The speakers will be Rev. Dr. P. Dozo and Amüdo, Pastor TBC.
SUK acknowledges Khuzama VC: The Sangtam Union Kohima (SUK) has acknowledged Khuzama Village Council for resolving the case involving a vehicular accident that resulted in the demise of Vizashenu Thakhro of Khuzama village by Kutichu Sangtam, driver of vehicle no. 05D.7475. A press release by the president of SUK T. Seopi Sangtam appreciated the elders of Khuzama village for settling the issue peacefully and amicably, stating it was “a lesson for everyone to emulate.” The union further acknowledged the victim’s family for forgiving Kutichu Sangtam.
SCAN executive meeting: Sumi Catholic Association Nagaland (SCAN) has convened its executive meeting on April 29 at 9am at the residence of its treasurer to discuss on the forthcoming SCAK silver jubilee. All executive members, bearers from general, youth and woman wing, elders, ex-bearers, parish priest from Sumi area are requested to attend the meeting.
TUM new executives: Tenyimi Union Mokokchung (TUM) in a general meeting on March 26 elected new executives for the tenure 2011 and 2012. The union decided to re-induct the post of games and sports secretary assistant games and sports secretary tribe representatives and institutional representatives which was left vacant for years. The new team would be headed by David Pochury as president, Hechulo Semy as general secretary, institution representative for the tenure 2011 & 2012: Nagaland University: Kedoroko Casavi, ICIT- Dziebeituo Peinyu, GNM- Neisevonuo Pucho and seven other tribal representatives.
3rd inter school literary programme held at Tizit: The 3rd session inter school literary programme cum 1st college students meet, Tizit division was held at local ground Tizit on April 11 and 12. The programme was held on the theme ‘To infinite horizon’ with BDO Tizit, P. Angam Phom as chief guest and President ENSS, Hawang Wangsa; deputy commandant 6th NAP Battalion Tizit, Yangpa Konayk and EAC Tizit, Athsangla Yimchunger as guest of honour. Principal KHSS Mon, Nyamto Konyak was the main resource person during the meet while A. Daina Bohham chaired the programme. Other highlights of the programme included talent show, singing competition, painting, elocution and extempore speech.
Training at Flori farm school Wokha: Training on floriculture with special emphasis on Lilium cultivation was conducted at Flori farm school Wokha village on April 6. Resource person Shying Sheu EAC Wokha explained in detail about Lilium cultivation and Bendangsenla SMS, KVK Wokha shared on the importance of floriculture. The programme was chaired by Mhalo Tungoe SMS, KVK Wokha. 15 farm students attended the training programme where Lilium bulbs were distributed to the farm students.
