The monthly review meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) under directorate of agriculture, Nagaland was held on April 13 at conference hall, directorate of agriculture, Kohima.
A. Y Ovung, director of agriculture and nodal officer KVK appealed KVKs to carry out their activities with sincerity and to maintain proper discipline of staff.
Dr. Dipak Chetri, joint director and in-charge KVKs appreciating their performance, urged them to give more attention to the activities undertaken and also said the host institute was trying its best to provide necessary facilities to the KVKs and that infrastructure in all the KVKs were under progress.
Meanwhile, the programme coordinators/lead officers of KVK Kohima, Mon, Tuensang and Mokokchung presented their mandated activities (on farm trials, frontline demonstrations and trainings) and other extension activities implemented in their respective district.
During the interaction session, Apong Pongener deputy director of agriculture advised to properly document the trials and demonstrations conducted by KVKs.
T.V. Holo, additional director of agriculture encouraged the staff to continue their hard work for the benefit of the farming community. He advised KVKs to coordinate their activities with the agri and allied department and ATMA for effective implementation of the mandated programmes.
