Dimapur Sankiton Union (DSU) has alleged that the house of its general secretary was ransacked by three armed miscreants claiming themselves to be from an underground faction, on April 12 at around 1 a.m. DSU said that the miscreants including one non-local broke into the residence claiming to be on duty searching counterfeit money and held the entire family at gun point. It was alleged that the miscreants decamped with valuables and cash worth Rs 2 lakh approximately which included traditional ornaments, mobile handsets, camera and a white coloured Yamaha Fazer Bike. Strongly condemning the incident, the DSU through its chairman Mhombenmo Tsanglao and vice chairman Yanthungo Ezung appealed the law enforcing agencies to prevent such cases in future and to give exemplary punishment to the criminals.
