NNCs have issued more clarification on various allegation levelled against Kiumukam Yimchungru and general sectary NNC Vizosielhou Nagi.
NNC in a press release issued by Kevi Angami and W. Lotha stated that the incident of April 2010 was wrongly mentioned as 2009 by Kiumukam Yimchungru. According to NNC, the Assam Rifles (AR) arrested Kiumukam and his colleagues because of extortion notes in his (Kiumukam) possession. His colleagues were released the very next day because they were innocent but Kiumukam was convicted and put in the Kohima district jail.
NNC said that general secretary of NNC V. Nagi did everything for his release from jail but Kiumukam was all out against Nagi.
Meanwhile, NNC in a separate press release alleged that it was general secretary V. Nagi who had created division and problems among the NNC from March 29.
NNC reiterated that vice president Kiumukam Yimchungru still stood for the “nation” and would work for people of “Naga homeland”.
