Developmental commissioner Alemtemshi Jamir said for a town to be fully developed, a good educational institutions hospitals and markets were vital.
He was speaking at the executive general meeting of all ward Mokokchung conducted on April 16 at Opangkong Salang, Mokokchung.
Stating it was high time for the people of Mokokchung to ponder upon how Mokokchung town should be developed Alemtemshi mentioned that leaving aside the policy of 33% reservation for women; people need to have an elected municipal council in Mokokchung town so as to develop the town as desired by the people.
Alemtemshi lauded all ward union, Mokokchung for their dedicated efforts and contribution in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the town.
Other who spoke at the general meeting of all ward Mokokchung included deputy commissioner Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi, Ao Senden President Lindenokdan and Mokokchung Municipal Council Coordinator N. Bendang.
The meeting was attended by members from all the 18 wards in Mokokchung.
