Biometric operation under Niuland sub-division would commence from April 25. Photographs, iris images and fingerprints would be collected for persons from the age of 15 years and above. For children between the age of five and 15 years only photographs and iris image would be collected.
A press release issued by ADC Niuland, Hokhuli K. Chishi informed that list of ‘usual residents’ would be displayed in the villages under Niuland sub-division for verification.
ADC further informed residents to verify names from the list of Indian residents and ensure that name and father’s name, sex, date and place of birth and photographs are correct and also to file objection if any ‘un-resident’ were shown as ‘usual resident’.
In case of correction or modification and missing name in the list of ‘usual resident’ residents have been informed to contact the local registrar, sub-district registrar.
