CM to grace Moatsu festival
DIMAPUR: State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio would grace Moatsu festival as chief guest, while minister for home Imkong L. Imchen would be the guest of honour on May 2, 10am at Longkhum village, Mokokchung.
A song of heroic exploits would be presented by Longkhum Village Council, ‘an encomium’ Longkhum Women Group, colours and sounds of Moatsu by Longkhum Youth and presentation by Sumi cultural troupe of V. K. range and Lotha cultural troupe, Sungro range.
The chief guest and his entourage would also have a glimpse of Longkhum by walking down the ‘Longnangba’, followed by Moatsu fest.
World Red Cross Day
DIMAPUR: The Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland state branch would observe World Red Cross day on May 8, 1:30pm at the conference hall of Red Cross Office, Kohima under the theme ‘find the volunteer inside you.’ Dr. Chumben Murry, minister for agriculture would grace the occasion as chief guest.
Mock drill on disaster management
DIMAPUR: Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority would be carrying out mock drill and awareness on disaster management on April 29, 9.30am at Kohima Local Ground near DC’s office.
