Former president of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) and MLA, K V Pusa called upon the womenfolk to contribute in the pursuit of peace and unity. Inaugurating the newly constructed Kezo town women society building on April 28, Pusa said Naga women can contribute in the process of building peace and unity amongst Naga people in many ways along with men.
Stating Nagaland was relatively peaceful due to the efforts of all sections of people, he also credited Naga women of playing a pivotal role in maintaining peace and unity in the state.
He said peace and unity was must for all round development and to progress with the rest of the community.
He also urged Naga women to ceaselessly pray for peace in Naga society so that peace and tranquility does not elude the people. Lauding the efforts of the Kezo town women, Pusa said the construction of the building reflected the unity of women in the town and further urged them to contribute towards the welfare of the town. Meanwhile, members of the women society presented folk songs.
Vitsoneile, chairperson women society delivered a welcome address, short speech by Vichotsule Mekro, vote of thanks by P. Vikrosa Zecho, chairman VCC, benediction by Addi Mekro assistant pastor and chairman was Tepuchele Yhobu.
