In obvious response to NPF’s assertion that former chief minister of Goa Edward Luizinho Faleiro was ignoring the ‘matter of fact’ of DAN’s rapport with UPA government, the NPCC Thursday said the rapport NPF talked about could not be “a one-way traffic” but has to be reciprocal as UPA had never sought their support.
“NPF should not think that its voluntary support to the UPA is so great as to attract the attention of every central leader that landed in Nagaland,” noted the NPCC media cell in a release.
The NPCC media cell described the NPF’s “repeated attempt to fool Naga public” that Congress in Delhi and Nagaland were disconnected as “manifestation of a disjointed thinking disorder.”
Maintaining that NPF’s claim of success stories were smudged with rampant corruptions, the Congress said “Else, why are they afraid to refute the NPCC’s corruption charges against the Minister of School Education & SCERT?”
The media cell said NPF should not think that special grant of Rs. 712 crore to implement 6th RoP and special plan assistance of Rs. 223.36 crore released January 16, 2011 gifted by Congress-led UPA were meritorious awards.
According to media cell, the NPF knew very well that without those financial packages DAN government could have invited RBI embargo and subsequently invited Article 350 of the Constitution.
“The NPF is under the saving grace of UPA,” NPCC said, adding UPA was not under any compulsion to reciprocate to its voluntary support.
Also, digging up NPF’s earlier “alien culture” remark over its “dharna”, the media cell said it was very clear from NPF’s statement that they meant the people in Delhi.
“The NPF should specify what according to them is ‘alien’ and also define which ‘culture’ they meant because India is a nation of diverse culture where each ethnic people maintains its own culture and identity,” the NPCC demanded.
Asking what made NPF think that all non-NPF people were not working for Nagas,” the media cell said “Do they think they are the only people having concern for the Nagas?”
“Let them spell out clearly what they had done that others had not done” release stated.
Further, calling fallacy the NPF’s purported claim that Nagaland was one of the most peaceful states in the entire country, while highlighting the following casualty reports:
Year No. of casualty No. of injured
2008 110 14
2009 11 09
2010 08 02
2011 up to date 38 02

Also, the NPCC asked if the state was peaceful, why were DAN ministers, parliamentary secretaries, advisors and MLAs still move with heavy security escorts?
“If situation is peaceful, why are they afraid to conduct municipal & town council elections? By postponing the Municipal and Town Councils; in what ways had they furthered the peace process while running the Ad-hoc Councils illegally? The NPF should make its stand clear to the people of the State,” questioned media cell.
Asserting that NPF has no issue to fight 26 Aonglenden A/C by-elections, except to rake up the “Bedrock of Naga Society” which has lost its relevance in present situation, the NPCC media cell said NPF has peculiar retrograde agenda on all issues.
