Metha Thinuo Krotho Tsiemekhuma Village has condemned the life attempt on one of its members Neibou Mere, a government teacher at Botsa, by two youths at lower Chandmari Kohima on April 21.
Stating this in a press release signed by president Keviso Metha and Lhouvilie Metha, MTKT stated that on the night of April 21, Neibou Mere was attacked by Avizo Richa from Jakhama village and Ngaku from Chingmai Village, Tuensang district at around 9:15pm when he went out to park his vehicle.
The release stated that the victim was attacked with a knife when the miscreants tried to snatch his vehicle key and as a result injured him.
Condemning the act, the MTK appealed to the law enforcing authority to award befitting punishment to the culprits as per law of the land. It further cautioned that anyone who bails the duo would be doing so at his/her own risk. MTK further assured that it would not leave “any stone unturned till justice is delivered.”
