Student bodies condemn assault

Aghünaqa area students’ union: Aghünaqa area students’ union (AASU) has condemned the assault on Nitoyi Awomi a student of Public College of Commerce and a resident of Nitozu village under Aghunaqa area on April 22 at half Nagarjan by youth of Imkonglenden colony. AASU urged the law enforcing agencies to identify the culprits and award befitting punishment.
Niuland sub-division youth organisation: Niuland sub-division youth organisation (NSDYO) condemned the April 22 incident and appealed the law enforcing agencies to arrest the culprits. The union further cautioned it would take its own course of action if the authority fail to deliver justice to the victim.
Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union: Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has condemned the incident at Nagarjan, Dimapur on April 22, where Nitoyi Awomi, B.Com 1st year student of public college of commerce and a bonafide member of DNSU was physically, mentally tortured and assaulted by Imkonglenden colony youth. The union stated that such kind of assault on suspicious case and taking law at one’s own hand was totally “inhuman”. The union urged the district administration to identify the culprits and punish the culprits before the situation turns to worst.
