Karbi outfit calls for indefinite KA bandh

Recently surfaced Karbi militant outfit KPLT (Karbi peoples liberation tiger) has called for indefinite Karbi Anglong bandh beginning March 30 next to force down their five point charter of demands.
Speaking over phone from an unknown location, the KPLT spokesperson declared that all political parties active in Karbi Anglong would have to make certain that their demands will be fulfilled otherwise it would go ahead with their agenda of strike.
Market, schools and medical facility, including essential services would be exempted from the purview of the bandh. The KPLT leader said 85% mandatory reservation on all government jobs would have to be guaranteed for the Karbis. Central forces will have to be withdrawn from the district.
The Karbis settled outside Karbi Anglong will have to be specified as ST (Hills) Karbis, equivalent to the Karbis living in Karbi Anglong. After the Assam Legislative Election no person other than Karbi and ST will be eligible for selling or purchasing of land in Karbi Anglong, among other demands.
