Financial assistance to eco-clubs
DIMAPUR: Nagaland pollution control board has released financial assistance to 165 Schools having registered Eco- Clubs under Peren District at Rs.2500 per Eco-Club. All principals, head teachers have been requested to send their authorized teacher-in-charge to office of the divisional forest officer Peren (DFO) at Jalukie before April 15.
Morning prayer breakfast fellowship
DIMAPUR: Dimapur-Sakipheto Area Church Leaders Fellowship (DSACLF) would be organising morning prayer-breakfast fellowship on March 29, 7am at Ikishe Village Baptist Church. All Church leaders of the area have been requested to attend the fellowship.
SEDD conducts first general meeting
DIMAPUR: Selected entrepreneurs of Dimapur district held its first general meeting on March 26. The entrepreneurs resolved to form a body under the nomenclature SEDD - Selected Entrepreneurs of Dimapur District and unanimously elected 14 members with Temsumongba Sanglir as chairman and V. Jasper as general secretary.
Further, SEDD lauded state chief minister Neiphiu for extending another year 2011-12 as “Year of entrepreneur”. The selected entrepreneurs also requested the chief minister to direct the department in charge and agencies regarding policies and programme under the “Year of entrepreneur”.
KVK Tuensang conducts training
DIMAPUR: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tuensang conducted training from March 23 to 26on scientific piggery and poultry rearing. Training on pig farming was conducted at Yokumsang village on March 23 where 29 members from five different villages participated.
On March 24, two trainings on pig farming was conducted at Tuensang town for two batches in two session with 26 participants in first session and 24 participants in second session. On March 25 and 26 training on poultry management was conducted at Tuensang town for 23 participants and 13 participants at Tuensang village respectively.
The trainings were organized in collaboration with Eleutheros Christian Society for farmers clubs and Joint Liability Groups. In this entire training program, the resource person was Sarendi Walling, subject matter specialist (Animal Science), KVK, Tuensang.
