UBC affiliation crisis resolved

The fallout over affiliation of United Baptist Church (UBC) sub-jail, Dimapur got resolved after a peace committee headed by Dr. Roland Lotha with Temjen Pongen and K G Keruo as members brokered understanding between the two aggrieved parties.
Informing about the developments, Dr. Lotha said that both the pastors have tendered their resignations based on some conditions.
He also added that a steering committee was also set up to induct a new pastor at the earliest and that pastor Y. T Lotha will continue till the affiliation declaration is made.
It may be mentioned that issue of affiliation of United Baptist Church (UBC) sub-jail, Dimapur with Kyong Baptist Ekhumkho Sanhryu (KBES) started on January 2, whereby some of the Church members in favor of affiliation with KBES locked the Church after the devotional service to show resentment on non-cooperation by the pastor who allegedly is a government employee posted at Wokha.
The United Baptist Church, Sub-Jail was established in the year 1982 comprising of members from various tribes with Lotha tribe as the majority.
