CMO Peren informs on medical board: CMO Peren Dr L Kuotsu informed all the departments that medical board for confirmation of service, invalidation of pension, commutation of pension etc for grade III and IV employees will be held on April 7 from 10 am at CMO chamber. All departments have been asked to submit the list of names for medical board latest by April 5.
ANFSA PHED day of fast: The All Nagaland Field Staff Association (ANFSA) under PHED has called for a fasting cum prayer for a positive reply to their memorandum on April 2.
MCAP of 9 AR Longleng: As part of the military civic action project, Longleng based 9 Assam Rifles provided 3 embroidery machines, 3 knitting machines and 20 plastic chairs to Baunyoi knitting and weaving centre, Longleng. The machines were handed over to the members of Baunyoi self help group on February 15.
PBVC on BPL & AAY card renewal: Purana Bazaar Village Council has informed all BPL & AAY ration card holders to submit three passport size photographs along with `20 for renewal of card on April 4. Further all GBs and VCMs have been informed to attend the programme for renewal of ration cards and submit the list of names to the chairman. The renewal forms can be submitted at the VCC N Hozeto Achumi’s residence for middle colony, GB Khenito Awomi for high school colony, GB Vihoshe Awomi for Mt View colony, VCM Vihoto Yepthomi for New colony, GB Senli Ao for Jorapukhari colony and GB L Vikuto Wotsa for model colony.
Inaugurations and release of souvenir at Jakhama village: The Porutso Kethuki at Jakhama village and Porutso Tsuphwe (Dahu) will be inaugurated by DGP K Kire IPS and Vipose Zao IPS DIG (retd) respectively on April 9 at 10 am. While a souvenir will be released by the chief minister’s wife, Kaisa Rio, during the main function. Meanwhile, the chairman of Porutso Khel, convener of organizing committee and souvenir committee has extended invitation to all well wishers and in laws to come and attend the programme.
Joint survey of N.H expansion: Deputy Commissioner, has informed the following individuals i.e. Zhaphizo, surveyor Gr.I i/c, Libemo, surveyor Gr.II, Khaikhu, surveyor Gr.III, Hovito, and chairmen, Kihoto, Suge Thapru, and Mughakhe, of LRSO Dimapur to conduct joint survey of N.H expansion, re-alignment and to fix pillars in liaison with NHAI officials from Dimapur to Piphema on March 30.
DMU general meeting: Dimapur Moilan Union (DMU) general meeting would be held on April 2, 8am at the residence of its chairman, at Lotha colony. All members have been requested to attend the meeting and to bring membership fee for 2010-2011.
SSU joint meeting: Sakkara Students’ Union joint meeting would be held on April 6, 10am at the residence of Z Lohe, political advisor to chief misniter, New Minister’s Hill Kohima. All executive members, organizing committee, sub-committee members of forth coming golden jubilee have been requested to attend the meeting.
CHDD executive meeting: Chakhesang Hoho Dimapur District (CHDD) has convened an executive meeting on April 8, 10am at Chakhesang Hoho conference hall, Chakhesang colony Dimapur. All units and villages have been requested to send two representatives to attend the meeting.
NPF youth wing consultative meeting: NPF youth wing has convened a consultative meeting of all thirteen divisional presidents with minister in-charge Kuzholuzo Neinu (Azo) on March 31, 10am at central office Kohima. All youth wing officer bearers and division presidents have been requested to attend the meeting.
WSSU presidential meeting: Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has convened a presidential meeting March 29, 10:30am at union office Thahekhu. All unit presidents have been requested to attend the meeting.
PSUN general meeting: Poilwa Students’ Union Nagaland (PSUN) has convened a general meeting on April 2, 2pm at NSF conference hall Kohima. All leaders, unit bodies, president and executive have been requested to attend the meeting.
UBC peace committee clarifies: Peace committee of United Baptist Church (UBC) sub-jail, Dimapur has clarified that its pastor was not against the Church affiliation. It may be mentioned that besides peace committee, a steering committee was also set up to induct a new pastor at the earliest and that pastor Y. T Lotha would continue till the affiliation declaration was made.
Seminar cum exposure trip: Yimchungru Baptist Pastors’ Union (YBPU) conducted a one day seminar at Showuba village, sponsored by Old Showuba Baptist Church Dimapur under the theme ‘The importance of church management within its resources’. Rev Z Rochill, Auxiliary secretary BSI Dimapur was the resource person. Meanwhile, YBPU held an exposure trip for seventeen pastors to Guwahati, Aizawl and Shillong on March 16-22. YBPU also expressed gratitude to Yapang Pastor NCF, Aizawl, Yanrenthung pastor NCF, Shillong and Laji president of EPSU for their service during the tour.
Animal vaccination camp held: Animal vaccination camp was held on March 22 at Niuland town, Kuhoxu, Ghotovi, Hovishe, Hizulho, Itovukhu, Viyito, Zuheshe, Hezheto, Henito, Itozukhe, Hevikhe, Hakhezhe, Yevito, Hetoi, Kiyezu ‘A’ and Kiyezu ‘B’ under Niuland sub-division by doctors of D.I unit and district veterinary officers and staff, Dimapur. Further, deputy director, disease investigation unit Dimapur has expressed gratitude to all the villagers for their support and making the camp successful.
CANSSEA Wokha unit emergency meet: An emergency meeting of CANSSEA Wokha unit has been convened on March 31, 10am at LTC Hall. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
CYF annual youth conference postponed: Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) 7th annual youth conference has been postponed to March 20 and 21 at Chizami Town Hall. All delegates have been requested to attend the executive council meeting on March 20. The main function would be held with Chotisuh Sazo, parliamentary secretary social welfare and women development Nagaland as chief guest and. KG Kenye, secretary general NPF would also address the gathering.
USTC conference: The 27th conference of United Sangtam Theological Conference (USTC) would be held from May 20 to 22 at Kisetong Baptist Church. Rev. C. Lima E.S USBLA Yangli, Rev. T. Tsangkhuchu, Lanu Rudy NMM, Alison Bangalore would be the speakers and C. Kipili Sangtam MLA and chairman NSMDC, Kohima as guest of honour. All USTC members studying in difference Bible colleges within and outside the state have been requested to atend. PUK silver committee meet: Phom Union Kohima (PUK) silver jubilee planning committee has convened a meeting on April 1, 12 noon at the official residence of P. Dako Phom, parliamentary secretary, TPT, New Ministers’ Hill. All members including sub-committee have been requested to attend with their assignment progress report.
Hunting, fishing banned at Pongitong

DIMAPUR: Pongitong village council (PVC) has enforced ban on hunting of wild life throughout the year within the village jurisdiction. PVC head GB and council chairman in a press release stated that fine of `5000 would be imposed and hunting equipments would be seized. In case of any damage caused to parked vehicles by unknown person, CVC said village authority would not be held responsible. Further, CVC also prohibited use of poisonous chemicals while fishing within the village jurisdiction and that fine of `5000 would be imposed. Any person found committing an offence within the village jurisdiction would be charged a sum of `500 as a court fee and offenders tried by the village court as per the offence.
CUD general meet cum Aoleang festival

Dimapur: Chen Union Dimapur (CUD) has convened its 15th general meeting cum Aoleang Festival on April 2 at its Mission. All members have been requested to attend the meeting and also to clear pending membership fees. Unregistered members have been requested to get registered in the union on same day with one time registration fee of `500.
