Aircel launches 3G in Dimapur

Mobile service provider Aircel Tuesday introduced 3G pocket internet services in Dimapur. By introducing the third generation of mobile communication technology, Aircel became the first private mobile operator in the state to introduce it after BSNL.
The launching programme which was held at Cell City, Midland, was attended by deputy commissioner Dimapur Moangwati Aier.
Elucidating on the advantages of 3G technology, Aier pointed out that it will not only help in bridging technology gap but also provide aid in fighting against crime, education sector and other technology aided fields. While lauding the company for introducing the service, DC expressed hope that the denizens of Dimapur will be able to utilize the 3G services toits optimum.
The launching was also attended by operations head NE Kathirvellu and other staff of the company.
It may be added that Pocket Internet 3G can provide internet access at 3G speeds in all 3G phones. The company has also introduced a variety of plans starting from `7 valid for one day.
