Demonstration of fire extinguishers: Demonstration and training on handling of fire extinguisher would be conducted from April 5 to 12 at local ground, Kohima. All officers have been requested to nominate 2 representatives with authority letter to attend the demonstration and training programme.
ZBK emergency meeting: Zaliangrong Baudi Kohima (ZBK) has convened an emergency meeting on April 2 at 10 a.m. at the president’s residence Bayavü hill Kohima. All the executives have been requested to attend the meeting.
ASU general conference: Angami Students’ Union (ASU) 24th biennial general conference would be held from April 8-10 at Sovima village on the theme “Re-orienting priorities”. Chief minister Neiphiu Rio would grace the inaugural session as the chief guest. The resource persons include Savi Liegisie, President Dimapur Naga council, Kesonyü Yhome SDO(C) Mokokchung, Dr. Kiyakhrie (IFS) social scientist and Vicavor Krose Director, Youth Department ABCC.
H&HW dept interview notice: Directorate of health and family welfare has informed candidates who have applied for the posts of laboratory technician/laboratory assistant against retirement in the department of health & family (H&FW) welfare, Kohima that interview would be conducted on April 7 at directorate conference Hall at 10:30 a.m. Candidates have been informed to produce documents in original for verification during the interview.
KUC to celebrate Aoleang festival: Konyak Union Chumukedima (KUC) would be celebrating Aoleang festival commencing on April 1 at the residence of its treasurer C. Chingkap Konyak near Agape School Chumukedima. All members of the union and relatives of Konyak tribe have been informed to attend the festival. KUC has further requested all head of departments, institution both government and private to grant restricted holiday to all members of Konyak Union.
Shortage of graduate teachers at Tobu: Government high school in Tobu has been functioning with only five teachers, and no headmaster or assistant headmaster. Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) highlighting the grievances said due to lack of teachers, covering academic syllabus was unthinkable, and that the union cannot sit and watch Tobu High School running with only a handful of teachers. Drawing the attention of director of school education, the union appealed the authority to appoint required number of graduate teachers at the earliest.
Training cum demonstration on rubber cultivation held: Training programme cum demonstration on rubber cultivation was held at Tizit block on March 25, organized by ATMA Mon. The programme was chaired by Imlinochet, BTT convener Tizit block and Taolong resource person from Lapa village gave a brief on cultivation of rubber at nursery level and demonstrated on budding system of rubber plant. Altogether eighteen farmers attended the training.
CSU ban hunting and fishing: Chi Students’ Union (CSU) has banned of fishing and hunting and any other anti-environmental activities within the jurisdiction. CSU has requested general public to adhere with the order. Defaulters would be dealt strictly as per the union’s resolution with a fine of `10,000, added CSU.
ANSTA Wokha unit meeting: Meeting of the All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) would be held on April 1, 10:30am at ANSTA office Wokha. B. Ed/UGT trained teachers seeking grant for advance increment and whose cases are in the court have been requested to attend the meeting.
Dzevi village general meeting: Dzevi Village (DV) has convened a general meeting on April 5, 10am at Dzevi village, followed by social work from April 6-9 at the village site. Chairman further informed the public that Tenyi Dzevi village would be known as Dzevi village.
WSSU golden jubilee meeting: Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has convened its golden jubilee meeting on April 2, 10:30am at the residence of Mughato, advisor, 5th mile Sugarmill near Shiv Mandir, Dimapur. All jubilee committee board, unit president and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
DPFA general meeting: Dimapur Poultry Farmers Association (DPFA) has convened a general meeting on March 31, 10am at conference hall of Hotel Saramati. All registered and un-registered members have been requested to attend the meeting.
DLK general meeting cum home evangelist installation service: Dimapur Lizutomi Kuqhakulu (DLK) has convened a general meeting cum home installation service on March 31, 3pm at DLK banker, Purana bazaar Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the service. Further, DLK has requested all principals of theological college Dimapur jurisdiction to grant leave to students of Lizutomi village for the service.
VDB/VCC Medziphema emergency meeting: Block Development Officer (BDO) Medziphema has informed all VDB/VCC that an emergency meeting would be held on April 2, 11am at Chakroma public organization hall Chumukedima. All VDBs secretaries and village council chairmen have been requested to attend the meeting and to bring job card register and asset register during the meeting.
Automobile/Radio mechanic training deferred: General Manager, I/C District Industries Centre (DIC) has informed that receipt of application for undergoing automobile/radio mechanic training for the year 2011-12 has been postponed to March 31. Selection for interview would be held on April 8.
MRUD Konyak Aoleang Monyu: Moka Range Union Dimapur (MRUD) would be celebrating Konyak Aoleang Monyu festival on April 2, 10am at the residence of union mission, Bor-Lengri. All students’ hostellers and members of Moka range under Dimapur jurisdiction have been requested to attend the festival.
Mass social work at Sungro town: Mass social work was conducted at Sungro town on March 27, organized by Sungro Town Students’ Union (STSU). STSU expressed gratitude to Shaying Sheu, EAC Sungro, all head of departments, government high school, lamp school, headmistress, principals, staff and students for their active participation during the social work.
NF&ES informs: Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services Association (NF&ES) has informed all officers in-charge of fire station of state to deduct an annual fee of `150 for the year 2009-11, and `100 for new registration fees of who have been appointed in F&E service department since 2005. All O.Cs have been requested to submit it before April 14.
Longleng DPDB meet re-secheduled: Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, Niheku Sema has notified all members that the Longleng DPDB meeting for the month of April will be held on April 7 instead April 6 in lieu of the Phom Monyu festival. Time and venue would remain the same, said the DC and requested all members to be present positively.
Coordination meeting on HIV and AIDS: Yingli Mission Society (YMS) and Network of Positive People in Nagaland (NNP+) would be organizing a coordination meeting on HIV and AIDS for stakeholders of Tamlu town and neighbouring villages on March 31.
Rengma handicapped union gets office: The 41 Assam Rifles constructed an office for Rengma Handicapped Union at Tseminyu, Kohima district. The project will facilitate smooth functioning of the NGO. The office was handed over by company commander of Tseminyu company occupied base to president, Rengma Handicapped Union on March 27 in a ceremony organized at Tseminyu.
Training on scientific pig rearing at Hakchang: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tuensang on March 29 conducted a one day training programme on scientific pig rearing at Hakchang village, which was sponsored by Eleutheros Christian Society. The resource person for the programme, Sarendi Walling, subject matter specialist (Animal Science) spoke on scope of pig rearing with technological inputs for better management practices and production. Demonstration on compounded feed making was also demonstrated for better feeding. About 46 farmers from three different villages attended the programme.
