Concert for Japan in Kohima

A solidarity benefit concert titled ‘Nagaland Contribute-in aid of Japan Earthquake and Tsunami’ will be held at local ground Kohima on April 1 from 5pm onward.
Addressing media persons at the KPC Conference Hall, Project Director Music Task Force (YRS) Gugs Chishi said that responding to common sentiments, the MTF (YRS), Nagaland would be coordinating efforts for the concert. He further informed that artists and musician from across Nagaland will be performing for free.
Crescendo, Dimapur will sponsor the stage, sound, lights and video coverage for the event. The project director thanked Unitex Inc. and XL who are event promoters, The Heritage, Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Kohima Press Club and many more well wishers who have overwhelmingly responded to the clarion of the musicians.
The fledging music industry in Nagaland has invited one and all to support this expression of solidarity and contribute freely to this venture, through sponsorships patronage, event logistic or just free will donations.
Cash and cheques can be deposited in to the Nagaland Contributes account with the Axis Bank Kohima, the Official Banker of this effort. Contributions will also be accepted/received during the concert on April 1 by the UBC Youth, Kohima at the venue, although entry to the venue is free. The contribution from the concert will be handed over to the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi along with a DVD of the concert, he added.
