GPRN/NSCN on Saturday affirmed its full commitment for the reconciliation process to the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) Saturday at Camp Khehoi.
Disclosing this, FNR in a statement said the delegation met with N. Kitovi Zhimomi, ato kilonser GPRN/NSCN and Gen. Khole C-in-C at Camp Khehoi in the presence of the convenor, National political advisory committee (NPAC), kilo kilonser, members of the JWG and other senior members of the political group.
FNR said, Kitovi re-assured full commitment to reconciliation and also said his side had done everything to bring president SS Khaplang for the proposed meeting. However, Kitovi said the “sudden disturbing trends” and “unfavorable situation in the eastern Naga areas has prevented Khaplang” from coming to participate in the proposed meeting. Kitovi also assured FNR that the “Highest Level Meeting” (HLM) would be possible only when situation becomes more conducive.
FNR said Gen. Khole stressed on the importance of knowing what had happened in the past, in order to set the “wrongs” into “right” and the division in the rank and file of the Naga political movement.
Khole also recollected his “sharing” with former comrades Isak Chishi and Th. Muivah. He also encouraged FNR to take the reconciliation process forward and added that everything would be possible only when Nagas are united. FNR admitted many difficulties faced in the last three years of the Journey of Common Hope, appreciated all the signatories of the CoR for their courage and abilities to overcome impossible hurdles.
