NSS Kiphire urged to inculcate civic responsibility

The National Service Scheme (NSS), of Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire held its special camping program from March 22 to 28 at its adopted village Tethuyo. The camp was conducted on the theme, ‘The future is now’ with deputy commissioner, Kiphire C.M Tsanglao flagging off the NSS activities.
The deputy commissioner called upon the student volunteers to actively participate in social service during student life and urged them to inculcate civic responsibility and spirit of unity for the cause of humanity.
Sharing his opinion to the villagers, the deputy commissioner said, ‘Civic responsibilities as cleanliness are next to godliness’. C.M Tsanglao also asked Tethuyo villagers to be the role model for the whole district.
Honorary secretary IRCS who was the special guest on the last day called upon the students to be a catalysis for change and also encourage the student volunteers to carry on with the spirit of social service along’. He also expressed gratitude to programme officer NSS Levi S.J. Keor for choosing philosophical theme and asked the student volunteers to keep in mind the theme and go ahead in every walk of life
Seminar on first aid, eco conservation, panel discussion and social work were the main activities in the seven days event.
