Itanagar, Apr 3 : With a mission to bring about a lasting solution and bonhomie between two communities, Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Tako Dabi yesterday arrived at troubled Lower Dibang Valley district on a two-day visit to the district bordering China.
Dabi, accompanied by DIG (East) Robin Hibu took stockof the situation in the aftermath of a communal tension that gripped the district recently. During a peace meeting, Dabi termed the incident as regrettable and condemnable.
Citing religion, communal and tribe based conflicts as dangerous for the state, he blamed the growing numbers of unions, organizations, unqualified NGOs, committees, tribal organizations and so forth operating across the state for selfish means for the deteriorating law and order.
He advised leaders, youths, panchayat members, gaonburahs and senior citizens to shoulder the responsibility whenever any chaotic situation crops up.
