NNC opposes election of president

DIMAPUR: Naga National Council has condemned the March 29 election where I Panger walling was elected for the post of working president without the knowledge and approval of election commission chairman, senior leaders and CEC.
Naga National Council central executive said the election was unlawful and out of election rule and procedure.
Further, Naga National Council president Paul Anar Sangtam region, Ghosuho Sumi region president, Yanchumong Chang, Chang region president, Hangping president Zeliang region, Shingnya Konyak region president, Thraneaba Yimchunger region president, Kumchi Yimchunger advisor and election commission chairman Naga National Council while condemning the election of the president said it would not extend cooperation with the elected president.
Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of all central executive council members, core committee members and regional presidents has been convened on April 6, 10a.m to deliberate on Naga National Council government.
All regional presidents and authorities would also conduct the meeting on April 8, 10 a.m.
All Naga National Council members have been directed to attend the meeting.
