President, ARWWA ARTC & S visits ‘Touch of Hope’ orphanage

DIMAPUR: President of Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA) of ARTC & S, Urvashi Kumari Singh visited “Touch of Hope” orphanage at Sukhovi and interacted with the children ranging from three years to twelve years of age. She was touched by the meeting with the children and appreciated their enthusiasm and vivid talent. She further appreciated the efforts of Mr and Mrs Meryn, the custodians of the orphanage for bringing up the children with total dedication and concern.
She also felicitated 33 ladies and children of AR personnel who had successfully completed the first Certificate Course in Computer Fundamentals conducted at the Computer Training Institute of ARTC & S from December 27 to March 27.
The computer training facility has been established in ARTC & S to empower the ladies and wards of all ranks in the field of IT. It is affiliated with the Allied Academy of Information Technology. In the first course, Vishak Vijayan, Anandith Kachhap secured first and second position respectively whereas the third position was shared by Bikash Chhetri and Deepika Thakur.
