Rio congratulates ICC, Team India

NNagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio Monday congratulated the International Cricket Council for successfully conducting the ICC World Cup jointly co-hosted by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India. Rio also congratulated Team India for winning the ICC World Cup. Rio, in a felicitation message to union minister and ICC president and president Mumbai Cricket Association, Sharad Pawar termed the event as a resounding success which has elevated the status of all the three countries in the eyes of the international community, especially India. He said that the icing of the cake was the victory of the Indian Cricket team which emerged victorious under the inspirational leadership of team captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni. Rio also congratulated the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for organizing the final match in an “impeccable manner”. Rio who is also the president of Nagaland Cricket Association further assured that the NCA would extend its cooperation to ICC president and the MCA. Rio at the presidential enclosure interacted with Sri Lanka president Rajapaksha, ICC president Sharad Pawar and other officials, Maharashtra Governor, including a host of union ministers, foreign dignitaries, sports officials.
