Adhoc teachers Phek district unit, who have undergone suitability test for regularization in October 2010 has appealed the government to expedite their case.
The unit representatives Zazhota Dawhuo and Pulesayi Lohe stated that at the call of the directorate on completion of 3 years and above in continuous service, the members underwent suitability test along with the ministerial staff.
However, the unit expressed surprise that the ministerial staff result has been declared and their services regularized in November 2010, while on the other hand, the adhoc teachers result was yet to be declared even after a lapse of 5 months.
The unit also stated that adhoc teachers are “underpaid” as they do not fall under the purview of 6th ROP.
The unit further cited an instance wherein adhoc teachers who have been in service for over 10 years were not getting as much as grade IV staff, adding that teachers who were senior to them by 10 months and their services regularized, were enjoying thrice their salary.
