Shillong NRSF seminar to inspire young minds

Naga Research Scholars’ Forum (NRSF) Shillong would be organizing one day seminar on the theme “Inspiring Young Minds in the pursuit of research and development” on April 30, 10am at the Naga Community Hall Shillong.
The seminar would focus a broad range of fields with the following sub themes i.e. conservation and promotion of the Naga culture, socio-political, cultural issues and challenges, radicalization of the Naga economic outlook, impact of globalization on the pursuit of education, education systems vs. professionalism, contours of research in English from Naga perspective, land use, land change in Nagaland, assessment, conservation and utilization of bio-diversity, innovation in scientific research.
The forum stated that on the backdrop of Nagas facing various challenges including socio-political, cultural issues, imbalances in economic development, educational system, environmental deterioration, threats in public health and life etc., research and development plays an important role in addressing those problems to meet the remaining and emerging needs of our society.
The seminar is designed for the young minds to have an opportunity to be inspired and to be part of the global community who are adamant in making the environment a better place to live in.
The forum aims at creating a platform and to bring young Naga researchers together to exchange ideas and findings in research and development with special reference to the Naga community.
All these would be addressed and attended by Naga scholars who are pursuing research in their respective field. The seminar would be graced by T. Imtiwapang Aier, NCS, Asst. Resident Commissioner, Nagaland house, Shillong, as chief guest. It would also feature invited speaker Amba Jamir a development consultant and Director of The Missing Link (TML India). A talk on the seminar theme will be delivered by Dr. Xavier P Mao, Associate professor Department of Philosophy NEHU, Shillong.
