DIMAPUR: A new school building was inaugurated and blessed on April 7 at Holy Child School, Burma Camp, Dimapur. The school was blessed by Most Rev. Dominic Lumon D.D., the Archbishop of Imphal and the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Kohima along with Rev. Fr. Carolus Neisalhou, Vicar General of the Diocese of Kohima in the presence of invited guests, priests, sisters, parents and children and inaugurated by MLA K. V. Pusa as chief guest.
In his address, Pusa lauded the good works done by the Catholic Church in all areas of life for the development of society and said most people in the world have been benefited immensely through the Roman Catholic Church, directly or indirectly. He appreciated the parents for the interest shown in educating their children. He also exhorted children to be interested in learning and become useful to society.
The Archbishop congratulated Rev. Fr. O. C. Abraham, Principal and Director of St. Joseph Children Home for his humanitarian work for the poor and marginalised.
