NSDU meeting: Nagaland secretariat drivers’ union (NSDU) has convened its 18th general meeting on May 28 at Hotel Fira conference hall Kohima, at 9.30am.
NERSNA felicitation programme: North Eastern Region Service Nepali Association (NERSNA) Kohima would be organizing a felicitation programme in honour of all successful Nepali/Gorkha students of HSLC & HSSLC 2011 on May 15 at 11am at Durgabari hall PWD colony Kohima with wing commander Rajeev Dong, Deputy Director, Rajya Sainik Board, Kohima as chief guest.

RVCF meeting: Rengma village chairman forum (RVCF) has convened an emergency meeting on May 16,10:30 a.m. at Rengma Hoho office Tseminyu town. All village council chairman under Tseminyu sub-division has been requested to attend the meeting.
KSSU toppers felicitation: Kohima Sumi students’ union (KSSU) in collaboration with Kohima sumi Hoho, Kohima Sulimi Totimi Hoho and Kohima Sumi Officers’ Kuqhakulu would be organizing a felicitation programme for the Sumi toppers of HSLC 2011 (NBSE) under Kohima jurisdiction on May 16 at conclave conference hall, LCS building near Ao church Kohima at 4 p.m.
5th edition of campus icon: The first audition for the 5th edition of campus icon 2011 organised by Team Metamorphosis, Wokha would be conducted on May 14, 10am at Christian Model High School Chapel Hall, Wokha. The event would be held on the theme ‘Music for better education’. DMC coordination meeting deferred: Coordination meeting of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) with hardware dealers under its jurisdiction has been deferred to May 24, 11 am at the chamber of market rate control cell DMC. According to DMC chief advisor, Er. K. Keditsu, the meeting has been deferred due to unavoidable circumstances.
YVSU conducts inspection: The executive of Yanthamo Village Students’ Union (YVSU) conducted its annual departmental visit cum inspection under its jurisdiction on May 11. The union visited various institutions and medical departments, PHC Nyiro and found the functions of institutions were satisfactory. The union particularly appreciated the staff of GPS Yanthamo for voluntarily providing uniform to students. It further urged all the staff of institutions and departments to be sincere and dedicated in their duties.
KU 31st general session: Konyak Union (KU) 31st general session scheduled on May 27 at town council hall Mon headquarter. Prior to the general session, the Konyak union has convened an executive council meeting on May 26 at KU office Mon HQ. All ministers/MLAs, ex-ministers/MLAs, government officers, retired government officers, KBBB officials, KU unit presidents, general secretaries, KNSK officials and KSU officials have been requested to attend the executive council meeting. KU also invited all KU unit presidents and officials, chairman VC & VC members, VDB secretary, all pastors, reverends of Konyak Churches, ex-office bearers of KU and KBBB officials have been requested to attend the 31st KU general session.
RWDA felicitates: Rotomi Welfare Dimapur Area (RWDA) has felicitated Y. Kikheto Sema, S/o Lt. Yethakhu Yeptho, additional secretary finance, government of Nagaland for being confered IAS cadre of Nagaland. Meanwhile, the welfare also expressed gratitude to government of Nagaland and the government of India, ministry of personal, public grievances and pensioners (department of personal and training) for conferring Y. Kikheto Sema, a non-SCS officer to the rank of IAS cadre of Nagaland.
ARESA inform ESM/widows: Assam Rifles ex-serviceman association (ARESA) has informed all ESM/widows of Assam Rifles to report to the nearest army/Assam Rifle canteen along with a photo copy of the discharged certificate/pension payment order book with two passport photos for canteen smart card.
ANEFWA general meeting deferred: All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has informed all zonal and sub-zonal under ANEFWA that the general meeting scheduled to be held in the month of May has been postponed till further notification due to unavoidable circumstances.
Chumu affected land and building owners’ union meet: Chumukedima affected land and building owners’ union emergency meeting has been convened May 16 at 10:30am at Joyce Complex conference hall. All land and building owners affected by the 4 lane proposal within Chumukedima NH 29 have been requested to attend the meeting.
AIDS candlelight memorial service: Nagaland State AIDS Control Society along with NNP+ would be organizing international AIDS candlelight memorial service on May 15, 5pm, at state academy hall, Kohima. The service would be held on the theme “Touching lives”. Kaisa Rio, president, NWVA will be the guest speaker. All concerned individuals, NGOs and media are invited to be part of the function.
Sumi Hoho fetes: Sumi Hoho Nagaland has congratulated Kahoto J Yepthomi for clearing UPSC IAS Mains Examination 2010 and Y. Kikheto Sema for being conferred IAS.
Kohima DPDB meeting: The monthly meeting of the Kohima DPDB has been convened on May 16, 12:30pm at DC’s Conference hall, Kohima. During the meeting, the Board would be felicitating Sanjay K. Kinimi of Government High School, Chunlikha for securing highest aggregate marks in the HSLC examination 2011 amongst the GHS/GHSS under Kohima district.
District level training for BLOs: Training for all the booth level officers (BLOs) with newly appointed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Kohima District in connection with taking of photographs of all electors for preparation of Photo Electoral Rolls (PER) will be held on May 20, 10:30am at Zonal Council hall, Kohima. Formal appointment letters can be collected from the HoDs in case of Kohima town and the out post administrative officers’ offices respectively. The district election officer, electoral registration officer and the AEO, Kohima shall impart the training. All 142 appointed officials are deemed to be on deputation to Election Commission of India and are liable to its discipline and control, an official bulletin informed.
EUUN members appointed: The Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland has appointed Inahoto Swu as press secretary and Thunji Kithan as secretary of census and statistics of the union. A release by the president, Achilo Thong, informed the appointees to submit their joining report and assume responsibilities, and further promote the aims and objectives of the union in the interest of Nagas.
URF Goalpara mission affiliated to ABC: United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA) Khatkati mission centre Goalpara Assam under the sponsorship of United Revival Fellowship Mission Dimapur (URFMD) for the last 20 years has been affiliated to Assam Baptist Convention (ABC) annual conference Napuk Baptist church Sibsagar district, Assam on May 7. Meanwhile, URF mission in-charge and board members has expressed gratitude to Roy Chowudary, general secretary, president and the executive members of ABC.
ZSUN to felicitate meritorious students: Zeliangrong Students Union Nagaland would be felicitating meritorious students of Peren district who have excelled in the HSLC and HSSLC examination to a felicitation programme.
